Experience Life

Experience life
How can someone say that they have experienced life? Is it just breathing or is it something deeper than that? I feel you can be alive yet not truly experience life. Life can be experienced in many ways some more positive than others. When I feel someone can say that they have experienced life is after they have stories to tell. Stories that makes the listener hang on every word spoken.
So what stories do that? Well stories about far away places and strange experiences normally are capable of doing that. Stories about backpacking through Europe or near death experiences have an alluring affect about them.
Yet I think one thing overall will truly show that someone has experienced life and that is experiencing love. Not the love you could feel for your family or friends. No something much deeper than that. The type of love that when you look at the other person you are completely in a trance. That the second you are separated all you can manage to think about is that person.
When someone has fallen in love they have truly lived. They have seen the world for its potential and seen what could come out of human emotions and its amazing to me. That one day you look at the world and see a general view of things yet after you have fallen in love you look upon the world in such an abstract view. You now understand poetry and music. You now realize the love in a musical that is completely done with a piano.

Then sadly another sign someone has experienced life is when someone can truly say they have felt heartbreak. After love leaves you you finally understand starcrossed lovers and recognize the agony in a singers voice at an opera.
